Sparkplug wires question. . . .
Unless you have a performance coil or something different than stock, it won't do anything. If you think about it, the distributor sends a certain amount of current to the spark plugs, that doesn't change with the size of wires, so unless the existing wires are broken or extremely worn, new one's won't make any difference.
If you have performance coil go with 10mm or if your stock 8mm or 7 mm. The bigger the number the better the performance and they usually last londer the bigger they are. I sell lots of civic's and buy the 7mm when the old one's are bad and do just fine.

A waste of cash if you are making under 400whp.
I am yet to see any wires for typical street driven vehicles that better than oem or ngk oem replacements.

No spark plug wires are going to give you any more power unless your current ones are damaged or made by APC.

OEM (Sumitomo) wires are going to be your best bang for your buck. Even if your using a so called "Super Coil". If your going for colour get yourself a set of 8mm. I wouldn't waste my money on a set of 10s. The cheap 10s only contain more silicone. They are no better for transferring the spark. You would also have to zip tie them or buy a new set of wire looms to keep them tied down. I don't think that the OEM looms will take a 10mm wire. I know that the 8mm are a tight enough fit in them.
The bigger wire will not net you any more power or reliability with your setup.

Thanks for posting this thread since I have been thinking of replacing my 131,000 mile old wires and cap. OEM it is.
Other than the dealership where is a good place to buy:
valve cover gaskets
spark plug wires
distributor cap & rotor
etc.
Thanks.

werd, plus some aftermarket wire sets are under a LIFETIME warranty; if they fail/ become out of spec, you'll exchange them for a new set for free! been doing that w/ brake pads/ shoes from them w/ success!

Have you compared the prices and quality of the products that you are referring to between Autozone & the dealership. I don't know about down there in the US but up here there are a lot of things that are cheaper and much better quality at the dealerships than at local generic parts depot. Specially when your talking tune-up parts. There are things that are cheaper at the generic parts depots but are they going to last as long as OEM???? I've never ventured that far into the cheap side when it comes to parts for my car. I do shop around for a good price but I go for quality and see who has the best price.

yea, dealer parts for important stuff
timing belt/water pump
thermostat
cap/rotor
......
but some aftermarkets are actually just as good/better than OEM
your choice of oil filters/ air filters/ fuel filters. for ex. can be bought that's better than OEM
NGK/ Nippodenso plugs are sometimes cheaper online or aftermarket brick n mortar store than stealership... i think that was FV86's point
