Default Hatch Si owners rejoice! leakin sunroof info

Well I was about to drive home last night after it had been raining for a couple hours, and as I was pulling out, my headliner started to gurgle like the old familiar "I'm gonna dump two gallons of water on you and laugh" sorta sound. So I decided it was time to find the rear drain tubes for the sunroof, and I finally found them. They can be found behind your interior plastic covers. If you pull the side one off, the one you would take off to change your light bulbs, reach back and you can feel a tube. That tube, about a half inch in diameter, is your drain tube. Pull it out of its 90 degree turn, which puts the water outside the vehicle, and see if its clogged.

Bump for local rain. I haven't had the sunroof **** on me yet, so I think the solution has finally been found. This also shows why there was rust coloring on my sunroof shade cover thingy.

Hmm this seems like some good info. If it isn't clogged but is still leaking, what do you think about replacing the weather stripping?

It couldn't hurt to say the least. The drains are there because the sunroof doesn't seal completely. It's just how it is....
