2003 Honda Accord Navigation Question XM/Sirius
Hello! I have a question I have NOT been able to get answered anywhere, or been told different things. I have a 2003 Honda Accord with the Navigation system built in late 2002. As such it does not have XM installed. However, I have been told that the Navigation unit built by Alpine is the same in 2003 as in 2004 and 2005 and hence in XM compatible. I was told I could buy the Sirius Connect HON-SC1 package and it will work in my car as long as I have the Navigation unit. It wouldn't work with the regular stereo. Anyway, does anyone know if there is any difference between the 2003 & 2004 navigation units? Is what I've been told (that the Sirius direct connect SC1) will work with my unit correct? Any help here is greatly appreciated. I don't want to buy this and then find out it won't work. Thanks!
Yeah, it was & the dealership still has it available BUT it is a seperate module installed where the MP3 player was installed and it's FM modulated. So, it's not exactly the same thing unfortunately. What I want to know is if my Navi unit can have it plugged directly.
Basically, to simplify my question, is there ANY difference at all between the navigation unit that was installed in the 2003 Accord and the one installed in 2004, 2005, etc.?? Any info on this really helps. Thanks in advance.
