Help me with my GSR build please.
I'm planning on buying a JDM GSR longblock soon from HMO and want to build it into an all motor beast. It will be going into a EG hatch that I will only take out on the weekends/track days so gas and longevity of the motor won't be too important. Here are my plans:

- ??? Lightened Flywheel
- Clutchmasters Stage ? Clutch Kit

Can you guys give me some input on my build? Any advice, recommendations, concerns? The parts where I put ?'s I'm not sure on brands. I will most likely be running 93 octane, but won't mind if I need to run race gas to make more power.

why are you spending $1800 only to tear it down and do a build? all you need is a bare block and head based on what you're saying. not only that you are tossing the p72 head for a pr3 why? i could ask about most of your parts choices to be quite honest. have you considered buying that GSR long block and just driving it? your post sounds like you took a marker to the colored ads in a magizine. when you do an engine, your best bet is to identify what you want to use it for. where and how much hp you need and build accordingly.

Use the LS block, no need for a GSR block.
Use B16 pistons, not CTRs.
Why use a B16 head when you have a GSR head?
ITBs? srsly?
ITR header beats out the DC, but not by much. Get a real header.
Toda cams are good but you can make the same power for less. Expect to pay @$500 PER cam for Toda.
