Default ITR / EK4 tranny differences?

The transmission on my 98 UK ITR is shot. I have found a race gearkit for an EK4 and wondering if it will drop in and what possible compatibility problems i might have.
Any help gratefully received.

Thanks.

Cases are identical. Gears can be interchanged with exception of 1st gear on some cars (98+ 4.785 FD ITR) which is related to countershaft and final drive kit which must match your differential setup. EG/EK differential can have different bolt pattern and spacing, especially if equipped with LSD.

if you're swapping gears 3-5th then you can retain everything else. If you want to use a EK4 diff then you need to keep EK counter shaft/final drive, and 1st gear.
