it a 92 accord lx, girl let home and called a sec later saying the car shut down on her. I replaced the coil with a new one and do not get spark from it out of the end where the plug goes. My questions are, do the coil and igniter work together to create a spark? would you get spark from the coil with a bad igniter? As of right now there is no spark at the plugs or external coil... igniter is an oki unit... please lmk your thoughts

No. The Ignition Control Module (aka igniter) is required to send a signal to the coil in order for it to send voltage to the distributor cap / spark plugs.
My thoughts are to test the ICM (igniter)
