One day, I pulled a spark plug wire on my 2000 GSR (converted to OBD1) which shorted out then the car died and would not start.

Since then, I have replaced the Ignitor (x2), the Dizzy, the ECU, the Main Relay, etc...

Things not replaced, the harness, the spark plug wires, the head or any head components (valves, cams, internals, etc), fuel pump.

I get it started and it runs smooth as silk (thanks to a recent valve adjustment). But when I start to REV it past 3300 RPM, the damn thing starts to sputter, like it is REV Limiting or some damn thing.

I have run it at night and I don't see any sparks or shorts anywhere...

I can not figure this thing out. What the heck could be causing this?

I am at my wits end here....

I have the same thing hapening to my little bros car right now. Just swapped the Manni out for the skunk2 manni and the 68mm throttle body. I have not felt it yet but he says he is getting a sputter that feel like it limited around the same RPM your describing.. Im gonna re-check my tps setup next weekend.. besides said ground, or filter clogging anyone had this prob??

 

i think im having the same problem right now too.. but my car would start at very very low RPM and then it starts to warm up a little to 1000 rpm but i have vtec on my b20 and it sputters around 3500 4000 RPM also it wouldnt even let me hit vtec. anyone knows anything please.
