Just wanted ot know if there are any fuel map differences since the 00-01 intake cam is just alittle bit bigger.

The wiring and the chipset are completley different. No idea about fuel maps. The OBDIIv2 ECU is proprietary and has not been decoded to the best of my knowledge.

What is OBD11v2 I know what obd2 means but what is the v2 all about? I know the wiring is dirfferent but I could not get past the imobi on the 00-01 ECU and did not want to take it out and throw a cell SO I am putting a 98 ECU in my car with the 00-01 ITR MOTOR just wanted to see if I will loose anything by using the older ecu,

2000+ USDM ITRs have what is often referred to as version 2 of an ODBII ECU; 1997-1998 USMD ITRs have version 1. The wiring and the internals are completely different. I read that 2000+ ITRs have more aggressive fuel maps but I can't recall where or how reliable the source was.

I think i heard the 00+ ECU's have a faster chip set.

OBDIIVI ecus are from 96-early 97 in G3 tegs. OBDIIVII are late 97 and up.

I'll let Kenji or someone else answer the main question.

I don't think this is completely correct - 1998 ITRs have a V1 ECU.

you do know what the difference was?

here's a hint.. a lot of 96 ecus can run without the secondary o2 sensor and no CEL light.

We are talking about two completely different things here. The 2000+ ITR ECUs have *completely* different pinouts to 1997/1998 ECUs. Nearly every pin is different in terms of location. The small differences between 1997 and 1998 ECUs are not what people are referring to when the talk about versions V1 and V2.

different pinouts does not mean it's a different "Version"/"revision" of the OBDII chip. OBDIIV1 and V2 is not ITR related at all. Pinouts are just pinouts and don't mean a thing.

I will have to do the same thing with my 01' B18C5 I have a 99 hatch and will be wiring the 98 P73 up.

Will the maps be THAT different? I have a VAFC right now for light tuning, will that be able to add enough to make up the difference?

How much should a 01 C5 motor put down at 8000 rpm STOCK vs. 01 C5 running on an 99 Si ECU at 8000 rpm.......I know its not making full power but how much would it be off?

I am thinking I will see about a three tenth's reduction in 1/4 times but mostly because of rpm and VTEC powerband.....with only elevation correction I am running 14.4's@99 with 2.4 60ft's with weather conditions 14.1@101 w/ 2.4 60ft. These runs were on street tires and stock gearing, timing and the Si ecu.....should I be a little faster or would my guess of 13.9-14.1 be right for a DX EK with a C5?

I would imagine a little more fuel to match the higher lift cam but.......I guess I will find out when I tune it and get a baseline
