Default Several dash lights on at once

I have a 2000 accord and the charge light, door ajar lights and brake light all come on and go off together intermittently, any one have an idea, I have not had any work done recently or accidents.

Could be a fuse problem, a wiring problem, or your cluster is messing up. I would go with checking all the fuses relating to the lights first. Then go from there. You might be able to just go to an auto zone and have them reset your comp. so it might stop happening..

Please excuse my ignorance but why would a bad alternator make the lights blink on and off? What is a CL/TL alternator and what wires would I splice and what is the advantage over a Delco? Sorry about all the questions.

Very common problem with V6 accords of that era. Anything made by Delco or in America for that matter related to cars is junk.

I think hes referring to an Acura CL or Acura TL. Im not familair with using them on this application.

The Acura CL\TL alternators are made by denso and hardly ever fail.... the I4 cars also have denso alternators and do not fail either........ I believe that the plugs are different on the alternators and that is why you have to splice the wires to make it work

Hey guys thanks for answering so quickly, I have been driving it for a few days and the battery seems to be fine still so I wondering if the alternator is my problem, do you think it is? I noticed on-line they have NSA for about $150 Auto Zone has Duralast for the same what do you think?

I am also having the same problem. Changed the alternator today and now all the lights come on only if I break hard to stop. One thing I did notice was that the heavy black wire that comes off of the alt. and goes to the fuse box. That when you remove it while the car is running and the lights are off that removing if caused them to come on. Also that the wire at the crimped terminal end had some white corrosion on it. Please let me know what you find.

I broke down and bought a new alternator and all the lights went out and it works fine,(bought the life time warrenty from auto zone and it lasted 2 weeks, took it back and they gave me a new one but no compensation for labor ,gas, time etc.)
