Problems with the MAF sensor on Civic 2006
Hi Guys,
I drive a 2006 Civic 1.8 Lxi. I installed an after market air intake system short ram yesterday. My issue is with the MAF sensor. I switched the engine on after the installation, which was done as per instructions from the users manual. The car kept shutting down 5 seconds after switching on. It looked like as if the car wasn't getting proper air or fuel. I tried to accelerate a lil and took it up to 6K RPM. But the car brought it down on its own to 3K and then to 1K, gave a jerk n a bit of vibration n then shut down again.
I havent managed to get the car to drive after the installation as the car is still in the parking and cannot get the car to stay on. Pls help.

Yes, i disconnected the battery to reset the computer. When i connected it back the problem still remains. I tried to look for the ECU fuse or the back up fuse but cannot make out which one.. i see so many damn fuse inside the hood but none of em marked ECU fuse......
Hey Guys,
thank you so much for all your help. I removed the aftermarket intake and replaced it with the stock one to solve the issue temprarily coz I din have much free time to play around.
This morning i decided to start all over again. cleaned the MAF sensor with a brake cleaner and then installed everything again. There we go it works us fine... I love the sound... thanks once again..........
