Default 89 CRX Si burning oil

Whats up everybody,

I just bought a CRX , which burns oil..
I checked compression and it checked awesome, Headgasket was good, so I went ahead and changed the valve seals. I never did it before so it was quite interesting. needless to say, the engine still burns oil. Now, I have 3 ideas as to why it would still burn oil.
1. I just got autozone valve seals.. and they don't do seal as tight as they should
2. I screwed up and didn't do it right ?
3. The problem is somewhere else.

any ideas?

Thanks in advance and I did do a search, but didn't come up with anything.

Phil

are you sure its BURNING oil, maybe it could be LEAKING oil.
If you think its burning, the other thing is your oil control rings. Compression test does not tell you if your oil control rings are messed up, a leak down test will.

im positive it isn't leaking. I parked it in the garage and not a drop of oil came out.
I am sure it is burning oil because of the smoke coming out under accelration.

valve seals usually show smoke when your car is started up if i remember correctly. Does it smoke after its fully warmed up? if so its most likely the control rings. if thats the case, you'll need an engine rebuild

the smoke is light blue right?
