1. will the intake from a 2.2L Vtec provide any performance gains for the standard 2.2L?
2. 15 inch steelies are a direct bolt on right?

15's are not a problem and about the intake is it for the accord or prelude. The prelude intake is a 3" so you get more airflow and the accord is 2 1/2". So if you have an H22 in your car try the prelude intake. I heard H22's with an accord intake tend to run a little rich, i have that setup and mine runs rich. Not sure though, just what i heard
yeah the 15's will be good - make sure the tire they got has the rolling diamter (revs per mile - what ever you want to call it). 195/60 or 205/55 something like that.
use the accord intake, the prelude intake is too large and you will lose a lot (too much) of backpressure this way, in turn losing tourque...and since tourque in a honda is something hard to come by, you don't want to be throwing a lot of it away....stick with accord parts for the accord motors...

heres the thing i used to have some p.o.s. short ram intake and just got a h22 aem cai, and i actually felt minor gains. reason i got this was price, cuz a buddy sold it to me for 40 bucks, cuz he went turbo. i didnt really feel much loss at all in torque. needed a good intake due to a nitrous set up im about to do, and wanted a good intake just for safety reasons.

it is not really so much back pressure it is vacuum presure. Loosing vacuum presure can effect low end but only a slight amount. I would recomend the prelude intake if I were you. Many people here are using it on the f22's and seem to like them alot.
Yeah... too many people are linking low-end torque with backpressure... which have absolutely nothing to do with each other.. I believe what he meant was losing low-end torque. Backpressure is exactly what it means and no more: pressure in the exhaust pipe working against the flow of exhaust air.

What!?!?
Can someone substantiate this?
