Default Limited tire choices?

My '04 still has the stock tires with 38K miles, and though they'll last me another year, I'm just curious about new ones.

I hear that the ones that came with the car (Michelin MXV4s or something like that) are low rolling resistance, but also kind of low traction in wet or snowy conditions.

But looking at the Goodyear and Michelin sites it look like there are only a couple or three tires each to choose from. They all have 50K-70K warranties. I'd be happy with a 40K warranty for tires that had better handling and traction in all conditions.

Anyone happy with the non-OEM tires they have? I'm just going to put them on the standard rims.

I just replaced my Michelins on my 08 Accord with a $100 Falken 912 and it is better all round, quieter too...The Michelin is junk in my book and should be on a truck, not a car.....Check out Discounttire.com and read all the reviews on possible tires that fit your car.....

I went to 17" Yokohama and kept my 27 mpg city that the Michelin did.

picked this from Discount tire ad. In Illinois (home of dishonest politicians) they are 113.00 on special (current online price).

Never have and never will vote republican, but how can an Illinois candidate be trusted? Go with Nader.

They seem quiet to me although some raters said they were noisy.
