Removing plastic in door pannel bad?

Just was wondering if removing the plastic thats covering up ur door underneath the door pannel is bad? Ive read it protects against moisture, just want to know if theres any damage i would have to worry about by taking it off cause all it does is get in the way.

Wind noise is a major factor. Taking it off will not do anything good.

Why do you want to take it off?

I would guess that more water will sit in there and eventually cause rust

i gotta replace the motor in the driver side window and the actuator in the passenger door and all that sticky crap gets in the way

I got rid of mine on both Integras I had and never noticed any adverse side effects.
