Default 00b18b's LS/Vtec dyno results

Finally got the car professionally tuned. The numbers aren't anywhere what I had anticipated for. The tuner did say my stock LS b-pipe/muffler and stock air box is too restrictive. My injectors were maxed out at 100% duty cycle by 7800rpm so we didn't push it any further. I believe there maybe be something else not right with my setup as far as the camshafts being degreed in properly and timing. maybe someone can help me out here.....

Specs on the build...

Something is not right here. I would do a compression test and go from there. You should be making roughly 180-200 especially on a dynapack Was it tuned at all cause you have a nice dip in that curve?

What was the VTEC crossover at? Looks like you only have 1/2 a graph... Seems like the engine wanted to keep going.

Check your fuel pressure and system. With ~240cc/min injectors @ 42psi, you should be making 198bhp at 100% duty cycle.

That was a complete tune...tuner did everything he could to rid that dip...vtec was set to 6k.....yeah i'm pretty upset with these numbers. I will def do a compression test soon and redo the camshaft degree.

the tuner did not tune it to 100% dutyon purpose but showed where it spiked to and backed off and said 80% is where he would like it to be and that 370 or 440cc injectors are needed.

yeah the fact that i was running prelude 290cc with a walbro 255 hp pump kinda surprised me when he told me they were maxed out

Check your fuel pressure at idle with vacuum removed from the regulator.

What size exhaust is on there? Get rid of your stock air box and get a BPi velocity stack. Also your power is still cimbing at your current redline, keep on going son.

You vtec is also way too damn low.

Ran out of funds towards the end of the build...focused majority of it on just the engine....a ws2 will be in order sometime hopefully soon. Its not the biggest but i like it quiet. Regardless of the exhaust size i don't think its holding back the majority of the 30-40hp I'm missing here.

Update : Did a compression test, and got 260 on all four cylinders

bpipe and intake are really whats killing you.. as well as the 290 injectors.. I dont understand why you went with the 290s to begin with but you need it to flow better in and out, and as long as you have it balanced and dont have a oiling issue.. 8500 + rpms baby!! from the dyno sheet it looks like the motor was still making power when you let off, just like that other guy said lol it looks like your missing half a dyno sheet. possibly look into a cam thats more for mid range if you dont want to rev it that high?

yes i understand the stock exhaust and airbox(modified like the old comptech) is hurting performance which will be addressed as soon as funds roll in. as far as the injectors, i thought they would be enough especially with the walbro 255 hp fuel pump. Itr's run 240cc just fine i think i should be okay. If you didn't read, the injectors were maxed out at 7900 so we had to back off and call it a day.
