Default Spoon Brakes

think its almost that time of year to change my pads. how do you change them on spoon calipers?

I don't have experience with em, but I think I heard you just have to remove those two metal pins/bolts on the tops of the clappers to get the pads out. Don't think you have to swing out the clapper like on the stockers.

Someone who actually has these will prolly chime in shortly. P

yup, you can take the 2 pins out from the top or you can remove the caliper off the knuckle and the pads will just drop out from the bottom.

becareful not to strip the 2 bolts holding the pins down (allen key)...they may seize up on you after some time.

now that i recall yeah you just slide out the pins. man if i could afford to have some of these behind my mf10's

you can't really 'slide out the pins' though. sorry if i didn't make it too clear...those 2 'pins' are actually 2 long allen bolts held on by a nut on the other end. the black tubes just pop up and out when you remove the 2 long allen bolts.

oops but it still sounds like an easy pad change
