'96-'00 coupes came with light gray (TYPE F / Excel Charcoal) and dark gray (TYPE K / Classy Gray). All '99-'00 Si coupes had the dark gray interior.
'96-'97 hatches came with light gray (TYPE F / Excel Charcoal) and dark gray (TYPE K / Classy Gray). '98-'00 hatches came with only dark gray (TPE K / Classy Gray.
'96-'00 sedans came with tan (TYPE P / Medium Taupe) and light gray (TYPE F / Excel Charcoal.
Here is a photo of an Si interior.

A lot of people either mistake or remember the Si interior incorrectly as being black.
It's more likely they have painted their interiors than swapped it all though. Sourcing a black hatch interior is difficult enough, much less trying to find a black coupe.

That's a '99 CX or DX hatchback. The interior is mostly it's stock dark gray interior. The dash and seats and carpet are stock. The floormats are not.
The TYPE K / Dark Gray interior will often look similar to black or blue (like the column shroud in that photo).

You're not supposed to wax vinyl.
Even new Classy Gray can look blueish.

I've been a detailer before. I still hand detail on the side now.
ArmorAll is crap. It's sticky and attracts dust and grime.
Wax is not meant to make things shiny. Wax is a protectant and that's it's main purpose.

I've never had a problem using it, only gotten compliments on how clean the inside of my car looks. Can't argue with you there though, does seem to attract dust and grime a few days after it's applied.

I've never had a problem using ArmorAll either. But I did figure out there are better finishes than "shiny". I think shiny dashes look tacky.
And yeah, I'm told all the time that my car is clean.
