1991 Honda crx b16 Swap Help
Ok i brough this car for 2500 and the guy said it needed a fuel pump because the car was chokeing out after driveing for 15 minutes + and it would die but start right up and run for another 15 minutes. So i replaced the fuel pump/fuel filter and that wasnt the problem i was still jerking and not getting fuel. so i started tapping the main relay and it ran fine so i replaced the main relay. it ran fine for a day. but today i went over a bump and it was jerking/chokeing and cut off once.
The ecu blinked 3 times which means bad map sensor but i had a guy look at it and he said the map sensor is fine. did i miss a step somewhere?
And also the fan was wired to a fuse in the fuse box but that looks risky. do anyone know a good way to make a kill switch for the fan?

does the car have any kind of vtec controller installed in it? if so they usually tap the map sensor wire from the ecu and can cause a map code even though the sensor is fine.
does the ecu always show code 3 when it happens?

There isn't exactly a switch but the vtec wire have an extra wire that goes to the ecu im pretty sure the last owner added that wire. im not sure why or what it does. but the car runs fine untill i drove over a bump and then it chokes out but if i hit the main relay it goes back to normal, it rarely does it but it gets annoying esp driving with someone else in the car. Also the main relay isnt bolted down could that be the cause of it. ive replaced main relay/fuel pump/fuel filer so im thinking its a eletrical problem.
And yes the ecu constantly show code 3 i bought another map sensor off of ebay today. so hopefully that helps.

The pins that goes inside the main relay looks fine. could it be because the main relay gets hot because when i turned on my heat today it bogged down and when i took the relay out of the dash it went back to normal. except when i went over a bump in the road
