DTR is now Six Sigma Racing.

Bisimoto makes a bad-**** header.

Hytech is still one of the best.

And as much as everyone hates it... the hytech replicas make incredible power for a 1/3 of the price of a custom header.

SMSP is still my favorite, but TODA is sweet.

Im with 2lem1. Hytech knock offs are prolly the best header you can get for the buck period. If you really wanna get seriouse, the best way to go is to get one made by someone that knows what they are doing (imo).

I don't want to start this argument again. It's really been beat to death. Let's agree to disagree?

I agree that a SMSP, RMF, BISIMOTO, or real Hytech will crap all over a replica. I don't however think the majority of people need to spend over $1000 on a header when the money could be spent better in other places.

The best header is the one that makes the most power, where ever in the powerband you want it to, for your particular setup. Regardless of the name that is etched into it . . .

It needs to be price there since it will need to be replaced a few times due to it's poor ground clearance and getting smashed.

Hytech is proven to be one of the best out there...DTR (SSR), SMSP, RMF and Bisis are also very good. They do custom work to fit your goals, which is always a plus and something that you do not get with a production header.

If price is an issue, try looking at something like T1R, or the Hytech replica. The best production header, TODA, will cost almost as much as a Hytech or SMSP, so its not really worth it.

TODA- $1100
T1R- $700-800 depending on where you get it.
HYTECH REPLICA- $350 shipped lol

If youre gonna get anything lower than a T1R, then i suggest to stick with just a JDM ITR 4-1, get a skidplate, and hope for the best.

Honestly, if you want a really really good header, your best bet would be to find a used Hytech, SMSP, RMF, DTR, or BISI header.

I picked up my T1R header for $600 shipped awhile ago, and i might be selling it also, so if youre interested in that...im selling it for $550 shipped. I have yet to mount it on the car, its just been sitting in my garage...no dents no cracks...and great header for the price.

Hope that helps.

this is true... but from what i've seen... the best results come out of the RMF stable, unless, someone can prove me wrong

I could go on but the jest is simply you get what you pay for.

While that copies work, it is not because the copier developed or understood anything.
