Air conditioning Help
Just purchased a 91 hatch, and Im trying to get the AC to work. Few questions:
1. When pressing the "AC" button is that supplying a ground or power?
2. I checked the voltage at the compressor and it has no voltage. Is there any "how to" write ups on AC or any advice anyone can share?
Thanks alot

there is a pressure switch and a relay you need to check. if the pressure is low, the compressor will not run. if the relay is bad, same thing.
if you search the archives, you will probably find a ton of information

1. With the fan switch in positions 1-4, pressing the A/C button supplies ground.
2. For a wiring diagram, Autozone has free online repair manuals for your Civic. Go to "Chassis Electrical" and then "Wiring Diagrams." The a/c system is there. For a step-by-step troubleshooting sequence, try http://media.honda.co.uk/car/o...6.pdf or go to http://www.honda.co.uk/car/owner/workshop.html and try first the CRX manual and then maybe the 1990 Prelude manual.
Caveat: I have been troubleshooting my 93 Civic's A/C and, after reading reports here and doing some continuity testing, I think the climate control unit's circuit board has soldered joints prone to failure. In particular, beware of the A/C switch's joints failing. I have a writeup on this at http://honda.lioness.googlepag...oning.
