97 Acura 1.6EL VSS Issue

97 Acura 1.6EL VSS Issue
As you can see by the title and my name, i have a 1997 EL and my VSS is done.
The middle terminal has turned aquamarine and fell off. I called the dealership for a new one and BOOM: $179.20.
I called a wrecker and they said they have a '96-00 honda civic OEM vehicle speed sensor for Manual Transmission.' They say it is from a 97 Civic, however i am not sure the trim of the vehicle.
I know that i have a D16Y8 in my car so I was wondering if this VSS from the wrecker will work for me?
I am not too sure of all the engine numbers so when I searched this I could not get a definite answer for myself. Your help is greatly appreciated.
