im posting this here cuz i didnt know were else to post and i figured it might get to the right person here.

anyway im currently taking a "high performancce fuels and induction" class at my local college. i will say that this school has a very good automotive program with factory training programs from chrysler, ford, gm, and HONDA as well as high performance block and head machining and assembly. we also have an in house engine dyno, trans dyno, mustang chasis dyno, flow bench, etc..
now the only the problem with the fuels class im taking now and the other "high performance" classes they offer is that they are more catered to the small block chevy and ford guys, (there are a few of us import and efi guys though) and the guy teaching the fuels class used to rebuild carburaters for a living and he loves the the damn things. however, he wants to learn and be able to teach more about efi and tuning and has bought a turbo kit to install on one of the schools civics for a class project this quarter and an aem ems to tune it with as a kind of "learning experiment". he mentioned today about wanting to go to,or even having an efi101 class come to the school to teach a class to some of the faculty and some students. since i would also love to take this class and we have most of, if not all, of the equiptment to test and show the effects of the tuning changes, i think it would be great if you could come and teach a class here. im pretty sure we could fill the class up fast.

if there is anyone that knows how to get an efi101 class going here (dayton, oh) or if theres anyone from efi101 that can give me more info on getting this going or how to get into a class will you please let me know. you can post on here or at my email x750HPorBUST@aol.com

If you have enough people, EFI101 will come out to you. Its definitely an interesting class.

if i didnt think it would apply to me i wouldnt have taken the class. im pretty open minded i just prefer an injector over a dripping bowl of fuel.

that's what i was going to say, i went to that northwestern Ohio. it was lame they promissed a whole bunch and delivered very little. i took all the high performance classes and got the hell out of that town. good luck getting a class going i wish i would have attended a place like efi101.

 

You really need to define high performance. You need some particularly amazing EFI parts to come close to the atomization a carb can get you. But outside of WOT, injectors do amazing things

Its good that the teacher wants to learn about EFI. If you can understand a carb, you can usually wrap your head around EFI. Its just a different way to meter fuel in a more controlled fasion.

if you have a carb that drips you dont know what your doing. injectors are more likely to pool fuel than an injector. both have there ups and downs dont just rule one superior to the other.

anyways contact efi through there website i think you need like 15-20 people for a class

I just graduated from Unoh a couple months ago, and i loved it. If you didnt get anything out of the school its your own fault. When i started school i didnt know how to use a micrometer. Now i feel comfortable machining my own engines, using dynos, flow benches, tuning and whatever. It was well worth the time and money put into it for me.....

It might be 15-20 for the beginner class, but its definitely much smaller for the advanced class. I think there were around 8-10 people at the advanced course that I went to.

got wide, you might want to look into having them come up either for a few days and do the beginner and then the advanced classes, or the beginner class at the beginning of a semester and the advanced towards the middle/end.

 

yeah the advance class is hands on and also cost more so thats why the class is smaller
