tranny grindind fix
my bro put me on this it worked perfect my baby shifts like butter
Anyways, he told me to start the car, rev the engine to around 4500, and slightly push the stick into 3rd without the clutch pressed in. Not to the point where it grinds, just slightly into 3rd before it shifts into gear. He said that would burn the chemical off the synchro.
Well needless to say I did it last night, and when I went to work this morning it slipped into 3rd clean even after reving to 6k rpms.

i was stupid enough to try this last year when i saw it on T-I1 week after i tryed it i lost my 3rd gear completely.
you cant fix a worn synchronizer like that, its just like the people who try to patch bad piston rings with chemicals that raise compression. good luck with that.

At one point, Honda condoned the procedure as a quick fix for synchronizers that would stick and prevent synchro sleeve engagement with the gear.
The caveat is that they only recommended it on earlier models (1995 and earlier) and the transmission had to have less than 2000 miles on it.
What's funny is that I think the bulletin was released in 1999.

Its a KNOWN solution but it doesn't work if your synchros are already shot.
