Radiator Fans
I replaced the radiator on my 92 Honda Accord and the fams do ot work. They might not have before, either, as it is my wife's car. Both fan motors work (I checked them out with a battery) and the 20 amp fuse is good, also. I tried to shunt across the fan relay in the fuse box and all I got was a ticking sound - no fan action. With the engine running, I disconnected the sensor and tried to shunt across the connections there - still no action. Could it be the sensor, relay or a combination of both or?
The sensor you are talking about sounds like the coolent temp sensor? probably not good to be jumping.
If the fans work but wont turn on at a certain temp, the fan relay is likely to blame... The temp sensor (s) should be checked as well, but not jumped or anything, just checked for a certain resistance between the prongs with a voltmeter.
It could be as simple as a bad wire or ground to the fans also?
