Default Popping sound under hard braking

Under hard braking, there is a loud popping sound coming from the front passenger area. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I would say motor mount as well. I had the same noise and it ended up being my front motor mount.

i've been trying to find that same noise in my car for 2 years...

i think it might be the steering rack....everything else is 100% tight, cant find problems with the rack ,but might be something with that.

Because I have changed my inner and outer tie rods and put in polyurethane mount inserts on my driver and tranny mount (I already had changed out the mount inserts for the front and rear) and I still have the pop sound on the passenger side when braking. It isn't LOUD, but noticeable.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Yeah, my last bet would be the rack end bushing, will replace that on the next paycheck.
