Default Help me ID these cams!

bought these cams a few weeks ago that i saw on craigslist. the dude said they were buddy club spec IV's, and he wanted next to nothing for 'em, so i called him up, and bought them.. got a little curious one day and started looking for "T" stamping on them, and couldnt find anything.

they have a very similar cam lobe to the spec IV's, yet no markings... i measured them against my stock GSR cams, and they were about .040" bigger.

it has the same long bulge, and then a sudden drop like on the picture..

any help appreciated.

REAL BUDDY CLUB SPEC IV's:

... im lost.

Are there any marks at all?

Call up buddy club and ask how to identify them.

Stop using duralast parts and are those seats covered with plastic?

nope, i dont see any...

i did, and they said theres a "T" stamping on there, which i didnt find.... then they nicely said that if theres no T, then those arent buddy club cams.

Did you measure all the lobes? And if youo can, take a pic of the end of both cams; I only see that you posted pics of one

Maybe a BC4 knockoff.

The only way to really tell is with a cam-doctor type deal, or put them in an engine and get the opening/closing/duration/lift specs.

What wrong with blox cams? I've seen plenty of people make good power with them

talk to rocket[master of the universe] and see what he has to say about the lift and duration. you may be able to send them to him.
once you find out what they are you could sell them if your dead set on toda, but if they are c's or hsl's they will make good power, even though they are a knockoff

Thats some huge *** primaries lmao..
my s2s2's look almost like that, except the vtec lobe is bigger..
i think you have blox b buddies..

i never realized how big the primaries were until i looked at that pic

Those are a stage 2 cam for sure, which i dunno, but definitly along the lines of skunk2 or blox

damnit, I was hoping they weren't blox... Oh well... Think I should call blox and ask them if there's any kind of markings at all?

At least they're stage 2, so I'm not completly dissapointed

are most blox type b cams pretty much the same thing? They got "tuner series" and "competition" and the specs are near identical, but there's a 9 dollar difference between them..

" competition"- Cast with wider primary and secondary lobes
"tuner"-Uses OEM camshaft lobe designs, with BLOX profile specifications

I'm not sure on the rest of the specs

It's kinda hard to tell from your pics.. either it's a stage one cam with a small vtec lobe, or its a blox competition cam which is a copy of the skunk pro series with larger primaries. Either way, the vtec lobe isn't much bigger than the primary lobe. I highly doubt it's a blox stage b cam. The vtec lobe would look bigger. (or the primaries smaller)

I would also guess blox competition. Now which stage is the question....

i got the head off, with the cams installed.. problem is, once i turn it, i can only measure the primary lift. is there a way i can make the vtec pin engage to the rocker arms so i can get the biggest lift point measurment withOUT disassembling and taking off the cam plates?

lol, mexican actually. but close enough... filipinians just look like stoned mexicans.

ah, so i guess theyre blox "stage 1" then?

did you notice ANY markings on them? on the tip where the "T" should have been, theres like rings on the edge... thats about any different thing i see.

the vtec lobe was actually a bit larger than the primaries compared to my stock GSR's..
