Default DA Rear Lower Arms Question....

I'm finally getting around to doing my suspension. I was looking at the S2 billet rear lower control arms. I did come across a post from another forum that he used the factory units, replaced all the bushings with Energy Suspension units. Would this be a better or more equal to option to replacing the factory units?

the thing is with the S2 ones they will be lighter then your factory ones and look better. so it all really depends if you just would want to go cheaper and just clean factory ones up and replace with the energy bushings or if you would rather spend the extra money to get a small weight reduction and something that would look a little better. either way would be fine and do the same trick.

IMO, the billet rear arms won't make a difference. They are in the rear and while they are lighter, the possibility of noticing the difference in unsprung weight is impossible in the rear with such a small change. I'd highly recommend keeping your OEM arms and installing the ES bushings in there instead.

hence the reason i put "if you would rather spend the extra money to get a small weight reduction " see i went for the s2 ones for the weight reduction even though its only like 3-4lbs cuz im making mine mainly racing car, also my stock one on the passenger side was umm yah bent lol, so i kinda couldnt clean mine up. but to partially agree with carchitect, the oem with es bushings will be cheaper so unless you want looks or racing id just stick with them...

I got them on mine. It aint like they cost you a arm or leg for them. I havent looked at the price of them in while. I mean $130 is pocket change. I could understannd if they were close to a $1k.
