Default Setup is running and idling rich, I need guidance (Crome)

Here's my build:
D16y7
PM6 Pistons (0.50mm Overbored)
stock valve train + 272 delta cam + adjustable cam gear
y8 intake + 60mm tb + hondata gasket
4-1 headers and 2.25 exhaust
Obd1 tuned on crome onto a p06 ecu
Competition Stage 2 clutch + stock lx long geared.

Now, On warm-up, I've got a 10.3-11 a/f... that's fine... it's warming up.

But after it's warmed up, I've got a idle a/f of 10.9 - 12.0... way too rich.

When I'm driving around... I've got a a/f of 12.0 - 12.9, that's with 1/4-1/2 throttle. I'm still breaking in the engine so I'm not keen on the WOT yet.

I've got the maps here and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of what I should play with. I'm hoping to get a a/f of anywhere between 13.0-14.5.

1: Low Cam Fuel

2: Low Cam Ignition

3: Injector Duty Cycle on Low Cam Fuel

4: Low Cam Ignition Graph

5: Low Cam Fuel Graph

Thanks for any help.

turn on the O2 sensor and your AFR at cruise should go right to 14.7.

This is not always the case with a closed loop operation, this is why tuning is vital.

The idle is rich due to the aftermarket cam profile.

Your fuel map needs some re-working as there is no reason for your 2d graph to interweave as it does not :-)

It sounds like you may want to pull fuel out of the complete map to start with as your partial throttle & idle are rich.

Don't be scared to get into it WOT. If you have put a heat cycle on the motor & changed the oil you are good to go.

What it boils down to is you need to tune the car

Have you tuned your offset box in the fuel multipliers? I normally don't touch any part of the tables until I'm done tuning the fuel multipliers.

IMO, the start up idle is too rich. I usually aim, depending on climate, for a low 13:1 a/f ratio.

This doesn't pertain to tuning, but please for the love of god WOT that new engine and seat those rings in.

start from scratch again

set injector size
tune injector battery offsets
tune cranking fuel
tune post start fueling
tune ECT compensation table
fine tune idle
drive around and tune

on the 2d graph, lines should never cross and the map should be uniform and smooth.

i like to keep 14.7 throughout startup then 15.1 or so at idle for operating temps.

14.7-15.5 for part throttle/cruising

~13.1 WOT

go through a few heat cycles and a few WOT pulls. Go home and retorque the head studs and do a valve adjustment as well as change the oil a couple times.

Very well said

I wouldnt be worried about running the motor at wot after running a new motor that rich
