Default No Power

I was driving my car hard yesterday and when I was slowing down everything just died. The check engine lite came on and my P brake light was flashing and dim. I put it in N and coasted to a stop. When I turn the key there is no power or nothing. I tried boosting with another car and CAA. CAA said the battery was fine. The negitive wire on the batterywas loose when I first pulled over. The lights dont work or nothing, it dosent matter which way I turn the key. Is there a main fuse or something?? I have a 89 Si with D16. Im gonna stick the battery on a charger and see what happens. Any help PLS Thanks.

hey are you getting any power at alllllll???????????/
when you turn the key on=== what dose it do?????????

1. follow your + power wire from the battery, to your fuse box there is a fuse there with two screws holding the fuse in.....
see if that fuse is blown.....

its the fuse where the red wire is.... see if that fuse is blown.
good luck.

or your alternator may be doing the smoking, I have heard of them catching on fire, so be carefull.

I'm gonna guess that on your last drive the alternator bit the dust and caused the fuse to blow, and whatever happened is also causing the smoke. get it tested at autozone or somewhere.

Ok its all good now. The wire on the top of the alt was grounding out causing the fuse to blow. I changed the fuse and noticed my alt was smoking and it wouldnt stay running or restart after shut off. I got the battery tested and it was no good. That was the starting problem. The alt was still smoking so i replaced that. It runs fine now.
