Honda Prelude Clutch install
I installed the clutch and did manage to get the tranni back into that tight hole. Now I can't quite get get the transmission all the way in. I pulled it back to make sure the spline had gone into the new clutch....sure enough...there's spline grease on the output shaft. I just can't get it in the last 1/2 inch. The guide posts don't even contact the engine yet. If I tighten one bolt on the housing the opposite side comes out a bit. It's like it's binding on the output shaft.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
R

I had the same problem and it was because the clutch wasn't aligned perfectly. You've gotta take the alignment tool, stick it in, and kinda move it around in a small circle. (Loosen the pressure plate a bit so the clutch can move) Since the tools cant be perfect there's always a little slop when the tool is in so try to even it out all the way around. Then make sure the alignment tool goes in completely smooth with no hangups whatsoever. Good luck
