ok so i just rebuild my gsr motor finally got it put back together and being trying to get it to start for 3 weeks now and i'm stumped, we done the timing like 8 times on the 7th time we got it to start and it wouldnt idle it would die, we adjusted the dizzy for like an hour, still nothing so i figured it was off a little on the timing so we just redid the timing again and now it wont start at all it, it backfired a few times and i'm just lost. we have fuel and spark and air have tested all of them like 100000 times and i'm just lost looking for some ideas or any direction
thanks

Make sure you didn't switch the TPS and Map sensor plugs on accident. I've seen that happen many times.
Do a compression test, post the numbers. Also, your plugs may be fouled out.

go through and recheck your firing order on your plug wires, they may be wrong, also as ruffrhyder said, make sure the TPS and Map sensor plugs are not backwards and also do a compression test because you may need to adjust the valve lash. that might be bad so your not getting enough compression for it to start and stay running.
