Honda Accord Wont Start, No Swapp, Not Main Relay, Not Fuel Pump, STOCK
I have a 92 Accord with 333,000 miles on the clock. I've always taken the best care of this car with oem replacement parts and mobil one oil changes.. aside from normal maintence, the car has never broken down until now.
Noticed a couple days prior to break down, I felt little power dips starting to occur with the car... days later driving down the road with no warning sudden engine shut off.... I replaced the Main relay because of annoying hot starts for the past three years and fuel pump thinking it would be the culprit since it wasn't the main relay. Nothing
. The car wont power the fuel pump prior to ignition (2 second pump) no noise. I have full power to the dash lights. Full power to the starter, Car turns over normal with nothing. I checked all the fuses and wiring to the pump... Is there something I missed or should check? Bad Grounds? I didn't check the ignitor since I have no fuel being pumped. Thank you in advance... My moms van had the same problem last night. I went out and I could turn on the lights in the car but car wouldn't start. I went to my car and pulled out a can of battery cleaner and disconnected battery. Found that one of the wires (Negative) was corroded. I clean it as best I could put it back together and car started. Did you check your battery wires to see if that's the case? I fix moms car last night. Have to buy new wires and replace them for her today.
If you do go this route make sure you have the Radio code for your radio. If you have aftermarket you don't have to worry. Hope this helps.

</TD></TR></TABLE>I'd definately double check for power at the pump, hopefully someone else can chime in with something useful. Used to playing with toys that have mechanical fuel pumps, but is there a relay for the pump you may have neglected?
very simple way to check the fuel pump is to remove the 10 mm cap from the fuel rail near the # 1 cyl. if after you crank it over you can crack the cap loose and if it has psi it will be pressurized. also check the coil .if you have fuel psi then may lean more towards the coil since you dont think the igniter is bad. the updated igniters are brown new and the old is a black oki.
i would recommend checking spark!
we had a 2 gen eclipse 5 speed at our shop, had it there for a few days, it was a POS, the battery was bad and we had to move it in and out everyday and charge it to move it out in the morning. Since it was a five speed, when it was time to pull it in to the shop and it was on a hill we would just run start it. well one day it wouldnt start, we tried hooking it up to the battery charger and nothing. so we started checking stuff. NO spark, NO pulse to the injectors but it would crank over fine. we checked alot of other things, tried removing the theft deterrent system and that didnt do anything.
It turns out that the ECU was bad, we changed it out and it fired right up. I think the repeated run starts destoyed the ECU. probably voltage spikes.
If there is no spark and no fuel then there is something way wrong.
