Default Engine break in.

I've heard a million different things about methods of breaking in the engine, and I kind of want a million more ideas..

The engine is going to have completely new bearings, rings, and gaskets..

And if it makes any difference, it's going to be an LS/VTEC swap. B18B1/B16aII.

ur in the wrong forum .. but in my opinion , the most important thing is to seat the rings by using engine vacuum during decel. Make sure engine is properly warmed up and has the correct a/f ratio before doing any kind of driving ..

Which forum?

And when I say "break in" the engine, I'm referring to, how in a similar sense, brand new cars can only rev to "X" when shifting for the first X miles, then rev to X the next X miles, etc.

well ur in the honda/acura forum where people post pics of their cars etc .. try the all motor forum or force induction forum . Try searching in the archives also .. For seating the rings , i was taught to take the car up to about 4k and let it decel a few times , and slowly work your way up to redline. So you should be done under an hr . Again , make sure u have the right afr when doing this ..
