I might have missed a post already related to this question. If I have could i please be redirected in that direction.

To the point, we own a CRX SI with a JDM b16A, Timing Belt shredded itself recently. How do we go about getting a new one? (I.E. if anyone has access to that part number for that specific engine, If one is required) or Will any B16 or B-series timing belt be the proper length/width.

Afraid to walk into our local kragen and say "hey we need parts for our CRX". counter man would respond with the usual questions; model, year, and engine size... at which point he would be stumped and not know how to help us. So we looked on Ebay and found a few belts listed for B16A (94 delsol).

So again to the point. are all b16 or Bseries in general timing belts interchangable?

any help is as always greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

 

i believe the 94 del sol (b16) and 01 civic si (b16) are the same belt...they will fit your 1st gen b16. i did some cross referencing awhile back and that is the info i came up with. i have my new Goodyear belt just waiting to go in, haven't had time to do it

 

well the pat numbers from toda are the same for the b16 and b17...the b18 has a diferent part number

 

Any b16 or b17(same block) timing belt will work.

 

having gotten a little more information i went to my local Kragen and asked for a timing belt for a 94 del-sol SI as this is a model that comes with a B16A3.... i was given two options ... one of which was said to be for the v-tec version ... at 124 tooth count ... the second option ... a 104 tooth count .... i opted for the 124 toth belt .. and await its arrival.... now the question is .. Does MY B16A require a 124 tooth timing belt?... i now find out that i appearantly had one laying in my back yard... i triple counted it to be sure it has 124 teeth on it ... if only i had the belt from the car... it was shredded completely .. so i'm unable to get a valid tooth count for the timing belt... one thing i do remember is the belt i found in my yard... came from a SOHC d16 .. my buddy parted a few years back .. he had been storing some parts here and must've forgotten the belt. anyway

the del sol si had a d16. you have to ask for the del sol dohc motor. or just get one for a 99si only one motor came in that model much easier to look up. and dont go to that parts store unless you want another shredded belt, just buy one from honda

 

you could get a timing belt for 99-00 civic Si (b16a3) or for 92-96 del sol Si dohc vtec (b16a2)

 

All B16Ax motors have same belt. 124 tooth.
