FF has its advantages in rally. In fact, it's not uncommon to see FF cars doing rally, not just the R. Don't know how well they're doing but I doubt Honda would form a team unless they could be competitive. Even though a FF car can never pull off moves as glamorous as FR or AWD, it can still hold it's own.
Those are great pics. I'm pretty involved with SCCA Pro Rally up here in the PNW. There is a tiny bit of Honda/Acura involvment, but they are a pretty rare site. From most of the guys I have talked to, the problem lies with the strength of the chassis and the amount of suspension travel available for the stock classes. One kid I knew was running a beat up old EF hatch multicolored with a d15b2 in it. Their team had literally welded in a cage, begged for some scrap silverstones, threw tokico blues on the car and went rallying. You could hear that poor car coming for miles......it would bottom out and scrape and just get thrashed. One time they even managed to rip the straps off the gas tank and barely made it back to the service area for repairs. There is also a red ef that had the 4wd conversion from the wagon done. However, it was out of commision after its first spectator stage because the awd system simply wasn't robust enough.
Oh yeah, FF is very popular in rally..... the key is left foot braking. Being able to apply gas and brake at the same time to swing the car around the corner is what its all about.

Sweet pics, though I almost feel bad for the poor ITRs, not exactly in their element if you ask me, but atleast they being driven fast> that is what they were intended for
thats just wrong. look at that front bumper.
it's smashed! NOO!! NOT TO AN R!
I've said it before, race the ******* car on whatever you want, gravel, snow, whatever. Quite being a bunch of show car stunnas.
I saw a 97 ITR at the ProRally in Maine on Friday, as well a non-ITR Integra and a Civic
hatchback with a B20 in it. These cars seem out of place at a rally to me, but the ITR finished
22nd (91 started) overall and 2nd in class (behind a non-Evo Lancer), which is pretty good. The
cars ahead overall included lots of serious WRX and Evo machinery...
