Default Stopper washer needed for inner tie rod?

I replaced my inner tie rod on my 91 civic hatch. When all was said an done. I had forgot to put the stopper washer back onto the rod. Is it really necessary to have that? Do, I have to take everything apart again?

i would say yes.

because it spaces the lock washer properly and the threads of the inner tie rod.

K, thx. guess I'll put it back on then. Just hate to have to take everything back off again, when the alignment was dead on.
