Default No spark and no fuel

Hey all.

I'm new to this site and need some help with my 1992 honda accord wagon. I bought it for 200$ from a guy that had it sitting around for 2 years without moving. The biggest problem I am having is getting spark and the plugs. The owner told me he put a new coil cap rotor wires and plugs in it right before he let it sit, so 2 years ago. I checked all the parts and they are new and i have the receipt for them so they all check out. The first thing i noticed was the negative battery ground was completly green and half broken. After seeing this i checked the other grounds, and found the one that goes from the power steering pump bracet to the valve cover is very green as well. I bought those to items thinking i had a bad ground. I have not put them on yet. but i was wondering if there are other grounds i should check, the ecu grounds? If so where is it? Also I read a little on here and hear the main relay is a problem on these cars. If you think that could be the problem too, how do i test it? I also dont think im getting fuel into the engine, Im not sure but i dont smell anything, and for how many times i was cranking it i should have smelt something Any info you have for me would be great. Thank you all for reading this long post and for your replies

crack the servie port on the fuel rail and see if the system is under pressure after cranking. if so then the main relay is working.
could have a failed igniter or coil.
remove the dist cap and see what color the igniter is black is the oki and is junk and the brown nec is the updated one.
check the coil they are fairly common along with the igniter

Maybe check all the spark plugs.. pull them out. If they are coated with **** they need to be changed out. Also for the fuel problem your injectors could be clogged from sitting for so long. or the fuel pump is garbage.. A few lil things for you to check.. ;-))

thanks for the replys.... i pulled the plugs and they look fine after a little wire brush and regap. I will see if the system is under pressure after crank. but where is the service port i didnt see it when i looked the first time because i thought about checking that too. I pulled the ing coil wire that goes to the cap and put it next to a ground and it did not jump the spark. How do i test the coil, i have a dvom and know how to use it very well, i just dont know where to conect it and what readings i should look for. also im going to run some seafoum in the engine and clean the TB before i done with it. Thanks for the info more would be great! =]

the ground wire at the T-stat housing is important for the ECU operation.
With the key on check for power on the Black/yellow stripe wire at the Dist plug; that will prove ignition switch okay.

Well i tracked down the problem to the engine grounds, and the igniter. I fixed both those things and see fired right up like a brand new car. Thanks to all for the info and advice. Special thanks to dtapia for all this knowledge
