Default Tree VS. Austin.... :(

Well...here is the story...

I was working at YodaIsGod's work doing some data entry work when we hear a big BANG outside and hear my car alarm making some noises...we run look outside and see a big truck driving by, run outside and look at my car and see it surrounded by branches...Yosa runs inside grabs his cell phone, keys, and digi cam, I grab my keys and cell phone. Yoda hops in his car and is in hot pursuit of the tractor trailer...while I look further at my car...I think that they could hear me screaming obsanities for a block when I saw the damage. I call 911 and get the CHP, who then transfer me to the Santa Rosa Police Department...5 minutes later a police car shows up and comes to take a look at the damage. As the officer and I are making introductions he informs me that there is a person on a cell phone that is following the alleged tracto trailor(go Yoda, go Yoda )

For the next 15 minutes the officer collects my information, I take lots of pics(see below) and wait for the tractor trailer to return(they were escorting him back with a police car)...I had called Bob#455 and he came to survey the damage...called ThePunk to see if he was in town, nope but I told him about my latest car disaster.

The tractor trailer returns and the officers spend about 15 minutes discussing everything with him, collect his information...then they come over to me and swap the information, the driver says that he is sorry, and wasn't aware that he had hit the branch, his load was legal heigth of 13'6", and that the tree was too low you could see where the tree had been hit numerous times(see photo album for pic)...I took his information and left it at that...came inside and loaded the 12.7MB of pics that I had taken, phoned my insurance company and told them that I was dropping my car off at the body shop the next morning...I have a $250 deductable(not sure if I'll see that money again ) and 30 days rental at $20 per day

Well...enough of my rambling, here are the pics of the carnage:

And a total of 39 pics available at:

Man, that sucks, although I'm glad to hear you didn't hit a tree (like I assumed when I saw the title).

OMG!! I'm sorry Austin! That is horrible, D called and told me. Damn, I'm glad I don't live on that street anymore.

Wow, that sucks man! Hope they can fix it all. Hopefully it isn't too bad. From what you can tell, what needs to be replaced?

I hope all that glass didn't mess up your seats...it would be a shame to HAVE to get some JDM Recaros to replace them.

Glad you weren't in the car when it happened.
