So I'm driving up a hill the other day when my car decides to turn off. Now it wont start and when I try to start it occasionally I'll get popping from the exhuast. I replaced main relay. still nothing. Plugs have gas on all of them. I cant figure it out. Help please

 

pop in exhaust did u just recently got the motor washed?replace the injectors.

 

check for spark. coil, igniter, dizzy...etc

 

it is the rotor in the distributor i know cause i had the same problem except on my dc2

 

so pull your cap off and look and see if you have a screw secureing the rotor to the shaft if that is not there then pull the rotor off if you look inside there should be a flat spot on the inside of it but if that flat spot is even slightly rounded then the rotor will shift forward and back effectivly advanceing and retarding the ignition causeing pops out threw the exhaust

 

replaced the rotor and distributor cap. cars fixed! thank you all
