I've searched everywhere between H-T & T-I and found alot of cases but none of them really solved the problem i'm having. As the title states I pulled a P1259 (VTEC malfunction)
so me and my buddy;
1.) Checked my oil level first...it was fine
2.) Then the solenoid screen, and that wasn't clogged up at all.
3.) It's not the solenoid itself because I can still hit VTEC (only did it once to check but not anymore).
So here's what happens(and again I just do this to test it out)
When I drive and i have the gas pedal about 85%-90% to WOT the car just sputters, then stalls. Then I can quickly let of the gas and it will start back up.
Here are my mods: Intake, headers, exhaust(straight pipe), intake manifold, Hondata IM gasket, the car is a 1998 GSR with 108,000mi car is overdue for an oil change so i was going to do that today and see is that fixes it, but my friend was a tech for acura and he couldn't figure it out he's taking a thourough look on Sunday but if anyone can help me out that would be excellent.
Thanks in advanced for your help.
