Default vtec not working

just noticed my vtec is not working.. any suggestions wat it could be? there is no cel on and i know check engine lights works.... wat u thinkmy problem is?

also car oil is full and was just changed 1k ago

Does your speedo work? Is the car up to operating temp when your trying to hit mad vtak?

only mod is an intake other than that its completly stock, yes my speedo works and im guess it was about 55 degree when i tried to hit vtec.. car was already warmed up tooo

Sounds pretty weird... you said you changed the oil.. but is it the right amount in there? ecu chippped? if it is cel doesnt work... but def check the wiring to the vtec solenoid mayb take it off clean it out might be clogged

yeah, maybe the solenoid took a ****, do the "light" test and see if it engages.

if i take the solenoid out can i still use same gasket for now?

Yes you can use the same gasket. You can test if its your solinoid by sending 12v to it while driving and see if it kicks on. If it doesnt kick on then its your solinoid, if it does kick on the its the wiring. If its the wiring I would run a new direct wire from the solinoid to the ECU.
