only time having a hood tilt is okay is when something under the hood touches.. besides that leave it alone

The "jdm" hood tilt lol, was orginally meant for cars with itb's because it does create a suction at the back of the hood and thats exactly what the itb's need. I cant say it would really slow you down, but i dont think you will be able to tell.

the idea is that it helps with ITBs and underhood temps.
Not the best solution but it helps on some cars.

lower lower lower... until its back to stock.

tilt ftl

not only will you not really feel any difference, the tilt just makes it look like your car was in some sort of front end collision and you didnt bother to get the hood fixed

Technically, yes, inclining a large, flat piece of metal perpendicular to the airstream will add downforce. Will you notice? No. Does it look gayer than a pink fanny pack full of limp ****? Absolutely.

It's mostly for the show, not the go.

You're always trying something new eh? The power steering belt wasn't enough? lol nah I know you said you put it back. That tilt really does look like the car was in an accident and fixed incorrectly (like someone else said)

How people could think this looks nice in any way boggles my mind. Might as well do it to the doors and trunk lid then, or just drive with your hood, doors, and trunk open.

the area where the lower windscreen meets the hood is considered to be a high pressure area when the car is moving. when the hood is raised like that, air is forced into the engine compartment, not out. ITBs benefit from this because the air being forced in is cooler than the air thats been filtered through the radiator and AC core (if you had one).

I've seen build threads where peoples motors don't fit properly, and it helps it to clear the hood.

The ITB thing is new to me, didn't know anything about that. All I know is regardless of there being a legit reason for it or not I think it's super duper gay.
