hood release issue

hood release issue
well i just popped the hood on my gf's 95 civic sedan and when i went to close it the hood wouldnt close and there is a lot of slack in the hood release popper thingy. It seems as if the hood is stuck popped. is there any way i can get over this for the time being so i can shut the hood for the time being?

thanks man, that fixed what i had been toying with for two hours in 2 min. Thought there would be nothing in the recent topics so i was just searching for the archived topics, doh!!
