Default Help!! H22 Tranny question

I put in a JDM LSD in my JDM trans today everythin came apart fine and for the most part went back together fine except for the fact that I cant get the casing back on is there some trick? I mean do the gears have to be set a special way for the casing to drop or something?

If you are trying to put the OEM JDM LSD out of a M2B4 case into a M2A4 (non LSD JDM case) it will NOT work.

The casings are different... Im assuming you mean that you are attempting to put it in a M2B4 case, but that needs to be cleared up. Ive had people BET me I was wrong. They all lost.

The OEM LSD will not fit in anything but a M2B4 Case. I have not gone as far as to see if a hybrid case setup (half and half) will fix the issue, but I can tell you definately that if your trying to stuff it in a Non LSD case (Even the JDM one), it aint gonna work. Seems the M2B4 case is "wider". The Non LSD case wont close up properly.

Other than that, its just a game of getting the shift forks lined up properly to play nicely. I put them as if they were in neutral, but Ive had issues where actually moving the shortest of the three "up" helped line things up a bit quicker (believe its the 3/4 -middle one in your pic above..... off the top of my head. Just helps line up 1/2 and the 3/4 at the same time... 5/r is already in by that time....).

Ive had a goooood deal of practice with broken H series ****, so I know from experience as when I had questions, I was dissapointed as no one really had solid info.

LMK if I can help you out, I have a shitload of H tranny parts, both OEM LSD and non.
