You should look into the quality of the pins & soldering on the obd2 side of that harness. I have seen a lot of cheap china made obd2 to obd1 harnesses come apart.

where can i find one of those?
this particular one came from streetlightz.com
wiring is done other than com cable. next is to cut or clean up the unnecessary wires.

The harnesses we sell use the same pin design but with better solder, plug & wire quality.
For the application you are producing, just use some epoxy to hold everything in place on the obd2 side.
