ok guys i have some info for you guys. i just met someone that works for mobile. yes the gas company. he is one of the guys in the R&D (research and development team) for mobile and he told me some good info.
he saids, the mobile 1 synthetic oil dont really need to be changed every 3000 or 4000 miles for the cars that we have today. it might be the case maybe 5 or 10 years ago but cars these days are much more efficient and runs cleaner ( you guys might already know this). well the bottom line is, he has a 02 corvette and he changes his oil every 10,000 miles. sometimes later than that. he saids its perfectly safe. you know what, i think its true.
of course the machanics will tell you that you need to change it every 3000 or 4000 miles because that is how they make money.
from now on, im going to change my oil every 5000 - 7000miles.
im not trying to advertise for mobile. this applies to all the synthetic oils. castrol, mobile, blah blah blah.....
i just thought you guys might want to know this.
