Default Car is pulling way to the right!

So I just lowered my '07 FG2 on sportlines and got a full front/rear alignment. The car is handling well but may soon need a rear camber kit (that's a whole other story). The thing is, before AND after I installed the springs, the car has been pulling way to the right. Yes, even after the alignment it is still doing this. The manager at the alignment shop said it could have to do with my stock directional tires and said i should get uni-directional tires. Does this make sense?

Other thing I noticed when I was taking my factory spring off the passenger side strut was that the bearing housing on the top of the strut all came loose and I thought at the time that that wasn't normal. It all went back together ok once i installed the new spring on the strut. Is there perhaps something wrong with the bearing assembly on my right strut that can be making my car pull to the right?

Thanks.

if it doesnt pull hard to the right then its normal.. cars pull slightly to the right or left.. usually its not very noticable..

how's your tire pressure? It doesn't take much difference in the front to make the car pull one way or another.

Agreed, definitely check that tire pressure. My right front tire was low last week and I was pulling to the right. It was just a little, but noticeable. Also, when that bearing came apart, you didn't lose any bearings did you? Maybe relpace that mount if you were pulling beforehand. Pulling to one side isn't normal...not always major, but not normal.

I will check the tire pressue this morning and fill or deflate as necessary. Yes, I did lose ONE small bearing in the process of that bearing housing coming apart on me; I looked forever but never found it. Like I said that housing all went back together find after I installed the new spring. I don't think the car is pulling so hard right now due to one less bearing because it was doing the same before I lowered it. Tire pressure, here I come. I will report back...

I thought my car at one point was pulling to the right after i put my rims on, being a size bigger i thought it might have done something odd, so i went to get an alignment and the shop said my car was well within spec..... sometimes these things are all in your head, curved/sloped roads here in maine didnt help the sitch much

I bought a 08 SI sedan and it pulled to the right almost right away. I took it back to the dealer and was told they needed to switch the two front wheels from side to side due to tire imbalance. It worked but I still don't see how two brand new tires could be so different.

Sorry to report back so late...

I checked the tires last weekend and set all 4 of them to 32 psi exactly. The two front tires were off of each other by about 8 psi. The car isn't pulling as much to the right now...much improvement! Thanks for the tip guys. I didn't realize how important consistent tire pressure is on these cars.

Just be sure when checking tire pressure all tires are at the same temp and you're doing it on a level surface. I checked mine inside a shady garage. Later.
