Charcoal Cannister delete?
Guys
The last time I assembled the head back on to my 92 EX, I broke some of the nipples off the charcoal canister and the solenoid looking thing that screws to it. I bought the new canister but majestic honda wants like 110 bucks for that solenoid, and I cant find anyone that will sell me one used.
The car idle surges pretty bad, I was wondering is there an easier way to just bypass the CC, or I'm going to have to find one of those solenoids....
FWIW I have studied the vacuum diagram and checked all of the other lines and they are all correct, so provided I dont have an intake manifold or TB gasket leaking, I shouldnt have a surge

Are you talking about the vacuum tank and solenoid thats located on the under side of the intake manifold runners? Thats not the charcoal canister, the charcoal canister is in the fuel system.
#23 being the solenoid and #24 being the vacuum tank?

That operates the IAB's. You can probably just run a vacuum line straight to the diaphragm on the IAB plate as a temporary fix but the IAB's probably wont function completely correct.
edit:
for references...
the charcoal canister is #8 in the following diagram

Vacuum tank, my bad...(item 24)
Its been a long week at work and on top of all that I've been doing a bathroom remodel at my house......my apologies for the brain-fart....
So to clarify, I was to remove Item 24 and Item 23 if possible to eliminate my idle surge

should be able to...
take hose 43 and connect it to part 17 where hose 45 normally connects
again, you should get some function out of the IAB's but they probably wont function completely the correct way. If this is where your vacuum leak is coming from, removing the parts in question should remove the leak as well.

I have a new check valve as well........I figure I'll try it with the check valve and w/out the check valve to see which works better....
