My car did not start this morning, so I was trying to take the main relay out. But I was so stupid not to remove the battery cable first. When I took inside part of the relay out, some metal legs touched, I saw a spark, after that, my car still crank but not start, and my CEL was not coming on when I first turn the key to "on".
did I mess up something other than the relay?? thx (all other light in the odometer area are functioning properly, and I checked my fule pump fuse which is fine).
BTW, any one know the part number of the main relay. I found it on rockauto.com 39400S84A01, but it said "not accord 2dr". main relays for 2dr and 4dr are not interchangable????

anyone can help?? I think I accidently shorted PIN 1-3.
Damn hurricane made me unable buy relay from part store and try out. thx. I'm quite frustrated now.

 

you might have only damaged the relay.

 

I changed my main relay. no luck...
I'm thinking about buying a used ECU on ebay, and have my mechanic put it on. is it a dealer only job??? thx a lot

 

Check over all of your fuses, both under hood and under the dash board.

it turned out to be the ACG fuse. I checked all the ECU related fueses last night, but missed this one somehow. anyway, back on the road again!!!
