You need to find someone with aluminum welding experience. You can indeed weld aluminum, but it's a more difficult process than welding steel and virtually always requires a TIG welder.

Why did you go to an aluminum radiator? Were you overheating with the stock one?

Go to autozone, kragen or whatever auto retail store close to you, they sell radiator repair which is an epoxy. It worked for a small crack in my Al. Rad. just make sure the surface if prepped correctly.

That radiator crap they sell in the store is not good for your engine, think about it all that stuff will go threw all your cooling system. Just take it to a radiator shop.

you can also MIG aluminum. however, i would strongly suggest a TIG for something like a radiator. TIG's are also easier to use on aluminum. i've welded up valve covers before. it's not really that tough if you have access to a good unit. the metal has to be REALLY clean if you want a decent weld. spray the crack with brake cleaner & use sandpaper or a wire brush on the cracked area. actually, i said that backwards, the cleaner is the last step before you weld.

aluminum is easy with a TIG, talk to the guy and you're good to go.
